Returns & Refunds
At Technical Racing Products (TRP), we want to make the return process as clear and straightforward as possible. Depending on the reason for the return, different conditions and procedures may apply.
Returns related to defective products must be processed through our RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) procedure and must include the corresponding RMA identification.
1. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers purchasing online have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days from the date the order is received, without having to provide a reason, in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
To exercise this right, the customer must notify Technical Racing Products within the applicable withdrawal period and return the product in appropriate condition.
Unless the product is defective or TRP has supplied an incorrect item, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
2. Return Conditions
Products returned under the right of withdrawal must be returned in a condition that allows them to be inspected and, where applicable, resold.
Customers may inspect the product to the extent reasonably necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and operation. The customer may be responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for this purpose.
Whenever possible, products should be returned with their original packaging, accessories, documentation and any other items originally supplied with them.
3. Defective Products
If a product is believed to be defective, the return must be processed through the TRP RMA procedure.
Technical Racing Products will provide the necessary instructions for the collection or return of the product. Where the defect is covered by the applicable legal guarantee, TRP will bear the corresponding transport costs.
Returned products will be inspected by our technical department in order to determine the nature and cause of the reported problem.
If the product is confirmed to be defective and the defect is covered by the applicable guarantee, TRP will proceed with the appropriate solution in accordance with applicable legislation, which may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances.
If, after technical inspection, the product is found to be fully functional and no defect is detected, or if the problem is caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification or another circumstance not attributable to the product, the customer may be responsible for the corresponding return and transport costs.
4. Incorrect Products or Shipping Errors
If you receive a product different from the one ordered, please contact Technical Racing Products as soon as possible.
Once the shipping error has been confirmed, TRP will arrange the return and replacement of the incorrect product and will bear the corresponding transport costs.
5. Products Purchased by Mistake
If a customer purchases the wrong product or changes their mind, the product may be returned within the applicable 14-day withdrawal period, subject to the conditions described above.
In these cases, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying the return shipping costs.
6. Original Shipping Costs
When the statutory right of withdrawal is correctly exercised, any refund of the original delivery costs will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
Additional delivery costs resulting from the customer's choice of a delivery method more expensive than the standard delivery option offered by TRP may not be refundable.
7. Returns Outside the Withdrawal Period
Returns requested after the applicable withdrawal period may be accepted at the discretion of Technical Racing Products.
Where TRP voluntarily accepts such a return, reimbursement may be made in the form of a discount voucher or store credit for future purchases, depending on the condition of the product and the circumstances of the return.
Acceptance of a late return does not constitute an extension of the statutory right of withdrawal.
8. Products That Cannot Be Returned
Certain products may be excluded from the right of withdrawal where permitted by applicable legislation. This may include, where applicable:
- Products made or modified specifically according to the customer's specifications.
- Customized or personalized products.
- Products that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons once unsealed, where legally applicable.
- Other products expressly excluded from the right of withdrawal under applicable consumer legislation.
This does not affect the customer's legal rights where a product is defective or does not conform to the contract.
9. RMA Documentation
Returns processed through the TRP RMA system must include the information and documentation requested during the authorization process.
This may include:
- A copy of the purchase receipt or invoice.
- The corresponding RMA form or RMA number.
- The RMA identification label attached to the package where required.
- A description of the problem or reason for the return.
Packages sent through the RMA procedure should be properly protected and packaged to prevent damage during transport.
10. Refunds
Once a return has been received and inspected, Technical Racing Products will process the corresponding refund where applicable.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed or another method is legally permitted.
TRP may withhold reimbursement until the returned goods have been received or until the customer provides sufficient evidence that the goods have been returned, where permitted by applicable legislation.
11. Competition and Performance Products
Many products sold by Technical Racing Products are designed for RC racing, performance improvement, tuning or vehicle modification.
Damage resulting from incorrect installation, excessive mechanical stress, accidents, racing incidents, improper setup, unauthorized modification, incorrect electrical connections or use outside the product's intended specifications will not automatically be considered a manufacturing defect.
Each case will be assessed individually by our technical department without prejudice to the customer's statutory rights.
