The Norway Federation has made the rather drastic decision - to stop all competitions of electric cars after 3 explosions of 4200 batteries occured.

According to oOple.com, the major part of theses problems happened with the IB4200 unit. However, that's the most recent LRP VTecs and Orion 4200 Team units which have led to the ending of the competitions.

All competitions are to be held off until 2008 January, even though I really don't know what could happen between now and then ... perhaps a proposal of approved batteries ?
