Last night at the "La Fabrica" facilities in Barcelona, we were able to see that soldering Fets on the new electronics of the 2.4 is no easy task.
This new electronics that the new MiniZ incorporates; compact, close-fitting, miniaturized, has all of the components in a different location, super compact spacewise, is what makes the task of soldering new FETS on it very difficult.
Therefore we have had to reach of few conclusions such as "NOT FIT FOR CLUMSY PEOPLE" . This is because the first thing that will happen is that the surrounding components will not hold still and will begin to move around on the mount, thus generating an aesthetically poor result and poor performance.
We were able to witness the assembly of one of these mounts in one of our Miniz 2.4 and to be honest, the guy who assembled them, who is considered to be a real expert at soldering microcomponents, really had to sweat it out in order to be able to produce an acceptable final result.
So, without any further ordue, we have to say that those who give warnings aren´t traitors. This procedure is already becoming an assembly for expertos that is not apt for unsteady hands.
Best regards and take care!!!
