PN Racing in Malaga.
RC Costa del Sol.

On June 12th at the RC Costa del Sol, Malaga facilities the qualifying race for the September semifinal was held.
Representing TRP and pn racing were Luis Linares and Arturo Paz who coordinated the race. They submitted the motors and were the ones responsible for ensuring that the weight of all the cars were according to regulations.

22 registrations, 4 of them coming from Portuguese territories that gave an international flavour to the race.
On Saturday afternoon at the training sessions we could observe how the locals Jorge Bandera and Isaac Gomez would become the unbeaten villans together with our Portuguese neighbor Miguel Carvalho who travelled all the way to Malaga in search for a place in the semi final.

At the race on Sunday we were already able to see that the fastest driver was José Mayorgas, a local driver who delighted us all day with some very fine driving.

Also worth mentioning is the significant performance in this race by Jorge Acedo, Andalusian champion in 2004 who now races in other categories.

Already in the final A, Mayorgas imposed his own rules without giving anyone else the opportunity to get close to him. Miguel Carvalho was in the battle with Bandera until his electronics started to malfunction and hindered his rythmn. Isaac Gomez also had problems all weekend with interferences.

Finally, Mayorgas ended up first, followed by Bandera and Jorge Acedo.
The final B was won by José A. Gonzalez and the final C by Arturo Paz.

An excellent race weekend and Andalusia has three more drivers who have classified for the exciting semifinal.
