Carrera de los Kyosho Dnano en la Fábrica Race track
Greetings dNaNoers!

Yesterday, Friday December 5th, the First CUP was held at the Fabrica RaceTrack. As far as we know, this was the first competition of dNaNos in Spain and the first or one of the first to be held in Europe.
12 participants registered, with a wide variety of models.

The race was organised into groups of 6 drivers; each one carrying out two 5 minute qualifying legs and a 15 minute final with all 12 participants.

The main handicap of the race was the absence of the automised time control system that obligated the participants to use a manual counter system and thus all of the impresicions that come with it. This was especially notable in the final in which among the 12 finalists there were those who ended up either coming up short or having a surplus of laps.  In any reagard, this setback wasn´t too excessive and the principal objective of the evening was to have a good time and have some good laughs amongst friends; and I can assure you it was exactly this.

In the qualifying legs, the time control system proved to be more or less satisfactory given that in the end it didn´t seem to be difficult to time 6 cars although many of them were of the same type of model. The level of control had dropped considerably in the final and it turned out to be nearly impossible to control 12 cars, among which were 3 porsche 911 GT3, another 3 Mazda 787B and  2 Ferrari Modena. This however does not stop me as well as the rest the participants from expressing our sincere grattitud to Enric Centelles and Sergi Castillo who really did their best to get the job done.

Although the result is not the most import thing; for those who don´t feel this way and for those crazy about the final race standings, here you have them:

1 David Moret Porsche 962 C LH 66 laps
2 Noe Miralta Porsche 911 GT3 64
3 Dani Galera Mazda 787 B 60
4 Albert Vidal Porsche 911 GT3 56
5 José Mª Vidal Mazda 787 B 55
6 Dani Casas Porsche 911 GT3 52
7 Pablo Villar Ferrari 360 Módena 47
8 Bernat Vidal Ferrari Enzo 47
9 Valentín Martin Lamborghini Murciélago 45
10 Alex Rubio Ferrari 360 Módena 33
11 Joan Serra Mazda 787 B 15
12 Javier Martín Ferrari Enzo 12

To sum it up, it was a real treat to see so many little cars on the track, to have a good time, and share some good laughs with friends. We also learned quite a few things; for example, for a stock model, the dNaNos are quite competitive, although optional parts for enhancing their performance are also highly welcomed (in fact, some of the rear disc suspension prototypes could already be seen used in the race). We also learned that it would be very interesting to test out the Kyosho lap counter system for the dNaNo but, should this not be the case the series would have to consist of a maximum of 6 cars.

To illustrate this fact, here you can see a few photos of the event:

As I mentioned before, it was a real treat to see so many dNaNos on the track and thats considering that one of them couldn´t even fit in the photo frame.
